Local LearningThe parish of West Monkton has two schools, West Monkton Church of England VC Primary School and Heathfield Community School.Post 16, students can attend further education in Taunton, at Somerset College of Arts and Technology, or Richard Huish Sixth Form College. Both schools are located in School Road, and to avoid congestion in this area parking is restricted. Students can approach the schools along a number of 'Safe Routes to School'. Further information about the schools can be obtained from the Primary School on 01823 412 582, and the Secondary School on 01823 412 396. Within the campus of Heathfield Community School is located the Tacchi-Morris Centre. This is a centre for the arts, with education at its heart. In addition to a lively and interesting programme of events open to the public, the Centre is used by students from Heathfield Community School for curricular and extra curricular work.
