Minutes of the meeting of the Planning Committee of the Parish Council held on Wednesday 10th December 2008 at 7.00pm in the Church Room, St Augustine’s, West Monkton.
Present: Cllr Reeves (Chairman), Cllrs Haskins, Ellis, Gage, Cavill.

161/08 Apologies
Apologies were accepted from Cllr Besley (business), Cllr G Day (personal), Cllrs Tully and Perris (no reason given).
162/08 Planning applications registered at TDBC
48/08/0065 Mrs F Wadsley Erection of a temporary filling station in the main store car park at Sainsbury’s Hankridge Farm, Taunton. Likely issues – none listed.
Comments The Parish Council has no objection to the application per se but is very concerned that the correct Safety Issues and Fire regulations have been addressed, and the Fire Officer has been consulted. The Parish Council would seek assurances that suitable measures for blast protection and spillage will be put in place - and the tanks would surely be either double skinned or internally bunded. Noting it is an application for a temporary filling station the Parish Council would wish to see in place the start and end date before works commence.

Conditional approval: Begin w/in 3 years; use materials to match existing; any upper floor window installed to north-east and south-west elevations to be of obscured glass.

The following payments were noted. Cllr Gage proposed that the payments were approved and made, seconded by Cllr Haskins, all agreed: hence it was resolved to make the payments itemised. The payments and receipts sheet was signed.
