DEVELOPMENT PROPOSALS FOR WEST MONKTON PARISH
Hopefully many residents will have attended the exhibition 'Talking Tomorrow's Taunton Deane' at the Village Hall in January. The Parish Council met yesterday to formulate its response to TDBC on the LDF. THE PARISH COUNCIL WILL BE OBJECTING TO THE 4000 NEW HOUSES PROPOSED FOR THE PARISH OF WEST MONKTON. However, this objection will gain credibility and strength if it is supported by a large volume of objections from private individuals. So please write to TDBC and make your views known, or you can email
talking-tomorrows@tauntondeane.gov.uk
Page 251 of the Core Strategy and Small Sites Consultation document states 'The scale of development in the area will create a settlement around the size of Wellington'. Is this what you want?
Deadline for responses is 28th February 2010.
West Monkton Parish Council's response can be found under 'Minutes' in the menu on the left hand side of the home page.
